so i guessed for small motors this would suffice. i bought a new test meter that reads up to 20A ac&dc. i was a bit concerned so i tested the current draw. everytime i remover the lipo to recharge after flight its quite hot. would have been more but it takes almost 3hrs to recharge. the tower pro esc goes thru a series of tests everytime u power it up. its connected to a 300wtt brushless direct drive & 1550ma 20c lipo. but ive just got a 30A WOW tower pro esc. Ew!ĮDIT: Oh and redblaze, try connecting up a reciever battery pack, you may be suprised. Also took the heat shrink off mine and the soldering is really shonky. Then it should power up, but again it just took a brief accident of leaving the switch "on" and bam, dead.Īnother thing, I never got a bec to work on any of these esc's, ever, and had to run them using a seperate battery pack. If you can get a repacement, you can keep them alive by wiring a good switch in the circuit, pushing the trottle right down, turning it on, and waiting for the motor to stop beeping (the motor should also twitch with an odd buzzing noise). That is, if you simply jam together the power wires it kills the motor driver circuit. I used 12cell, 16cell nimh and 6cell lipo for testing, all end up the same, any advice? please? (burn it may be? they're pretty crap quality, I recently sent back my SECOND replacement one seem to not be able to cope with non-constant current at all. Motor run after connecting batt, then is dead, the only thing working is break, and the esc and motor getting warm, but i just cant Hi everyone, i just got my new version towerpro 60a esc(may be just the color), ang i got the same problem dyrodium got, 1 seg
